Panasonic G2 And G10 Go Official

Looks like the leak on the Panasonic G2 and G10 that we dug up a few days ago was right on the money, as Panasonic has officially unveiled the G2 and G10 cameras.

The G10 is dubbed the world’s lightest digital interchangeable lens camera with a viewfinder. It sports a 12-megapixel sensor, and a Micro Four Thirds sensor. Bundled together with the camera is the LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S lens. It’ll be able to shoot 1280 x 720 HD video as well.

The G2 is a similar camera but offers a 3-inch rotatable touchscreen display, and has a similar form factor with its predecessor, the G1. The G2 is actually quite similar to the G10 in many aspects, and will boast the same 12-megapixel sensor, 720p video recording capabilities, as well as the 14-42mm kit lens. Thanks to it being a touchscreen, it’ll offer the popular feature of focusing on the subject by touching the screen. It can also claim to be the first interchangeable lens system camera with a twistable touchscreen that can be used to control the camera.
