It seems that careful maintenance and clever setting configuration on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 might yield anywhere from 20 to 30 hours of battery life compared to having everything turned on only to last half a day. Telstra will launch their second Android smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, in Australia next month. In case you didn’t know, the phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android 1.6 OS, a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, and an 8MP AutoFocus camera. Additional specs include HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Whereis Navigator, Mobile FOXTEL, Yellow Pages Mobile, a 3.5mm headset jack and BigPond Music integration. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be available in Australia for free with a 2-year contract agreement of at least AU$99 per month. Telstra will also offer the smartphone free of contract for AU$1099. Orange has a upper hand for those who have a penchant for the color white though, since they are the only ones among the carriers mentioned to have white color as an exclusive.
